Freelance event marketers
I work with a number of clients in the event industry in the UK and worldwide. I have worked in marketing for over twenty years and as Marketing Director at Marcus Evans I grew a large department from a loss making position into one with annual marketing revenues of £7m+ and pre-tax profits of just under £5m.
I have extensive experience in database development, marketing strategy, recruitment, training, campaign management and social media and I am familiar with the business models of all the key b2b event companies.
Recent event work includes advising on the marketing of the Middle East’s largest education exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I am also currently actively involved in the marketing of a series of Sports Industry Conferences in Europe and the Gulf States.
I can work flexibly either on short full time projects or on a daily rate 1 or 2 days per week or month according to your needs.
With over 20 years in events marketing I have worked across both B2B and B2C events including conferences, trade exhibitions, consumer shows, awards evening and smaller round tables events.
I have extensive experience in marketing strategy, campaign management, social media, database management, media and association partnerships, registration and booking processes, media planning/buying, PR, content marketing, web and HTML management and copywriting.
Recent event work includes the launch of leading trade exhibition Automechanika Birmingham, launch of a series of B2B conferences for Conde Nast, a finance conference for a leading trade association and a VET Festival conference for Channel 4’s supervet.
I can work flexibly either on short full time projects or on a daily rate 1 or 2 days per week or month according to your needs and very happy to work at both a strategic level and a hands on level to support a busy marketing department.
I have been marketing European, UK and International association and commercial conferences for over ten years, first in the area of website design, then in marketing events through all internet channels, including emails, websites, media partnerships, social media and search engine optimisation.
I also offer email marketing as a service to my clients, from HTML email design to campaign launch and clicks analysis.
