  • What happens if you have to cancel?
Delegates cancelling 30 days or more before the training will receive a full refund, less 10% of the training fee. Cancellations received between 29 days and 15 days before the training will be entitled to a 50% refund of the training fee. Cancellations received 14 days or less before the training date will receive no refund, a substitute delegate is always welcome. Non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute cancellation. If payment has not been made prior to the training, a full charge will still apply. Delegate substitutions can be made at any time. Course date transfers can be made, within 12 months of the original booking, however, if they are 14 days or less before the course, an admin fee of £125 + VAT will apply.
  • How many people are on each course?
From extensive training experience we know that the best learning is through interaction, exercises and worked through case studies which is why numbers for courses are limited to a maximum of 12 people. With a limited group there is plenty of time for questions, support and 1:1 feedback from the trainer.
  • What is the timetable?
Typically, courses which are delivered face to face, run from 9.30am and finish at approximately 5.00pm. There is a mid-morning and mid-afternoon drinks break for 20 minutes and an hour allocated for lunch. For courses delivered online, we break the courses into manageable chunks of 2 – 3 hours, to ensure maximum learning.
  • Recording training sessions
To ensure confidentiality, none of our training is allowed to be recorded.
  • Do I need to bring anything / prepare for the course?
All attendees are asked to complete a pre-course questionnaire prior to the course and send in any relevant examples for the course. What to bring will depend on the course and you may be required to bring brochures / info for comparision. For most courses, it is helpful if you bring a laptop or tablet with you.
  • What if my company is VAT exempt?
Conference and training fees remain subject to VAT where they take place. Anyone who wishes to undertake training in the UK is subject to 20% VAT.
  • What if I need a visa to attend?
We are happy to supply you with an invitation letter providing payment has been received. Unfortunately we are unable to issue a letter without payment as company policy dictates that they are processed only when payment has been received.
  • Disability policy
We endeavour to make our courses as fully accessible as we can to those with disabilities or special needs (such as issues relating to mobility, impairment of hearing, vision or speech) and ensure that that the provision of our courses (including the event facilities) comply with all applicable equality legislation. To enable us to provide assistance where we are reasonably able to do so, delegates need to notify us of any special requirement. So please contact us at +44 (0)20 8374 1712 or info@the-media-house.co.uk Please see our Public Training Delegate Terms and Conditions.
